Tallystar is a daily math practice app for kids. There is no sign-up and there are no ads, and we do not collect identifying details about children or parents.

What stays on your device

The child's name, form of address, grade, settings, points, rewards and vouchers, progress, and the parent code. All of this is stored in the browser on the device itself and is never sent to us.

To delete it: Parent area → Reset, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.

What is sent to us (anonymous statistics)

  • A random ID created on the device. It is not linked to a name, phone number or any account.
  • App version, language, grade, and whether the app is installed on the home screen.
  • Country only, based on the network connection.
  • A summary of each sheet: number of problems, how many were right on the first try, use of help, time, day streak, star level, and a breakdown by topic.
  • A count of taps on share, install and send feedback.

What is never sent

The name, form of address, typed answers, parent code, precise location or contacts. IP addresses are not stored in our database.

Why

To understand how many families use the app, which topics are hard for kids, and what to improve. We do not sell or share this information with anyone.

Third-party services

  • Cloudflare: hosts the site and the server that receives the statistics, including cookie-free visit counts (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
  • Google Fonts: the app's fonts are loaded from Google.

The app does not use cookies or third-party advertising trackers.

Children

The app is meant for kids together with their parents. Parents set it up, and the parent settings are protected by a code.
